CRC has been offering Short Courses on the Gold Coast for the past 10 years. CRC’s combination of theory and practical training methods, our real life work experience and dedicated staff, can only be seen as a winning formula. Bar & Gaming Operations
There is a huge demand for well-trained staff in bars, clubs, hotels, and other venues right now. This course has been specifically designed to ensure the participant has the most current accreditations and up-to-date multiskilling techniques available.
Bar Operations
This course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively in a licensed bar.
Barista Course - Basic
Learn to make coffee using a commercial espresso machine. You will gain the skills and knowledge to extract and serve espresso coffee, texture milk and create basic coffee art to present the perfect cup.
Cocktail Course - Basic - taking interest - please ring to register your interest
Mix and shake your way to cocktail heaven. You will learn the basics of cocktail making including pre-dinner cocktails, creamy cocktails, fruity cocktails and shot cocktails. The perfect glass, the perfect garnish the perfect occasion.
Espresso Coffee Course
Our barista training takes a thorough look at the coffee phenomenon. This course covers detailed information on the operation of the espresso machine, OH &S, hygiene and quality coffee making techniques. Our students will learn the art of creating a perfect espresso & smooth, silky textured milk. 9 different coffee styles will be reproduced. Our training emphasises the importance of consistent quality & offers work experience in our award winning club.
Food & Beverage Service Course
This course will give you the basic skills and knowledge for excellent customer service, basic suggestive selling skills & restaurant service skills – all the ingredients you will need to become a professional waiter.
FSSC - Food Safety Supervisor Course
As of July 1st 2008, the Food Safety Supervisor provisions Food Act 2006 commences. All licensed food businesses must have a Food Safety Supervisor on staff who is responsible for the day to day food safety in the business.

Gaming Operations
This course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively in a Gaming environment.
RMLV - Responsible Management of Licensed Venues
This program is designed to ensure that Approved Managers (and other industry participants)
receive information about their obligations under the Liquor Act.
RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol
This course is designed for people who wish to enter, or are in, the hospitality industry and need their Responsible Service of Alcohol for employment.
It is now mandatory that all employees hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate which must be issued under the QLD Liquor, Gaming & Racing approved course. The course will give the participants the knowledge and understanding of relevant Queensland Liquor Laws. Training in identifying problems such as declining service when appropriate, how to minimize confrontation and arguments, understanding your responsibilities and fines. Enabling you to deal with patrons and provide accurate advice and information to customers regarding alcoholic beverages.
RSG - Responsible Service of Gaming
This course is designed for people who wish to enter or are in the hospitality industry and need their Responsible Service of Gaming for employment.
