There is a huge demand for well-trained staff in bars, clubs, hotels, and other venues right now. This course has been specifically designed to ensure the participant has the most current accreditations and up-to-date multiskilling techniques available.

In addition to providing the participant with strong practical operational skills, excellent product knowledge, and the confidence to work effectively throughout the venue, this course also offers work experience at the award winning Currumbin RSL allowing you to maximise your employment options and move forward with your career in this exciting industry.

CLASS STARTS 9AM SHARP – Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to class starting as late arrivals may not be allowed to enter

Topics covered in the course  – 

•RSA & RSG (accredited)

GAMING
•Conduct a Keno Game •Advise customers on features of Keno •Process bet types •Pay out prizes
•Cancel tickets •Advise customers on games and gaming activities •Operate and maintain gaming machines •Make gaming machine payouts •Operate and maintain coin dispensing equipment
BAR
•Prepare a bar for service •Take drink orders •Prepare and service drinks • Opening & Close down bar operations •Follow Hygiene Procedures •Identify and prevent hygiene risks •Clean bar and equipment •Clean and maintain public areas •Roleplays

Black and white industry clothing is required throughout the course and for work experience. Casual clothes can be worn the RSA day

This course includes QLD LLD RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
This course includes RSG (Responsible Service of Gaming)

Course Units:

SITHFAB009A:

Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol

• Identify customers to whom service may be refused
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly
• Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
• Assist alcohol affected customers

SITHGAM006A:

Provide Responsible Service of Gaming

• Provide responsible service of gambling
• Provide information and assistance to customers about gambling

Work experience at the Currumbin RSL is part of the course normally done the following week/s. If you find work experience or work at another establishment they can also sign you off on the duties/hours. Conditions apply
